This is one of the largest and most beautiful forts in India. Now this is convertĀ  into Museum. In this fort, there are seven gates, which can be used to enter the Mehrangarh fort. Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum is a Famous Places of Jodhpur and a historical monument of Jodhpur. A part of this palace is manage by Taj Hotels. The palace is world’s largest private residence. If you are not staying here, you can’t visit the palace. This is build by Maharaja Umaid singh in 1943. There are 347 rooms in this Palace. One part is the residence of royal family, where tourists can not allowed. Second part is Museum, where the big collection of photographs, arms, clocks, stuffed animals and many other possessions of the royal family. And the third part of this Palace is five star hotel, where the hospitality is very good. In this palace there is a big vintage car collection you can see.

This is call Stepwell of Jodhpur. It is build in 1740,build by the queen-consort of Maharaja Abhaya Singh, a sign of the age-old tradition of the region where royal women were in charge of overseeing the public water works. This is a large stepwell with a number of long descending steps, which can be approach through four entrance arches. This Stepwell is in the old city of Jodhpur. The stepwell has a 200 feet deep. You must visit here, when you are in Jodhpur.

 

6.Ghanta Ghar

This is a clock tower of Jodhpur and has a very attractive structure. It is build by Maharaja Sardar Singh (1880-1911). It is a royal era structure of Jodhpur. This is also known as Clock Tower. The Sardar market is close to the Tower. In this market you can buy everything like spices, Indian sweets, textiles, vegetables, silver, handicrafts, Rajasthani Saree and Kurta.
